Once again, showing that performance and reputable fuel economy can exist in the same vehicle, American automaker, RAM, has publicized the final EPA estimates for its 2013 RAM 1500 HFE.

The new RAM truck now features a rear-wheel drivetrain, heavy-duty 5.7-liter V8 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. It is certainly a welcomed addition to the new RAM lineup here at McKinney Dodge Ram Chrysler Jeep. After RAM released the EPA estimated ratings for its fellow model, the RAM 1500 4WD (armed with a HEMI and eight-speed transmission) just better than a month ago, we were eager to see how the 1500 HFE would be rated.

It pleases us to report that the 2013 RAM 1500 HFE is able to achieve 15 mpg city, and 22 mpg highway, which leads to a combined rating of 17 mpg. These numbers have yet to make their way to the official EPA website, but RAM has reported that they are final and their word is good to us.

This puts the RAM 1500 HFE right on par with similar competitor models including a rival American automakers offering in its F-Series. We are interested in hearing how think this truck stacks up with its competition in the Easley, SC area. Visit us today to compare the new RAM against other automakers you may have been considering.
